A motorist was caught doing 149mph on the M25, a Freedom of Information request has revealed. The rushing driver was flashed by a speed camera on the London orbital near Swanley, Kent and heads a list of Britain’s fastest speeders in a new survey. All of the UK’s 39 police forces were asked to cough up their most outrageous speeding offences in the past year by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) and the results make eye-popping reading.
Seniors studying Transportation Design at the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit, Michigan, have recently completed a project with General Motors that has been underway since late 2009. General Motors challenged the students to design an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) that focused on the brand identity of Buick, Cadillac or Chevrolet, utilized the EREV components, and optimized aerodynamic attributes. Design features that incorporated sustainability materials and efficiency were also considered important components of the design development.

Last month we had an email in from Argentina pointing us towards spy shots published by Autoblog Argentina which seemed to be of an all wheel drive Ferrari 612. Which tied in very well with the story we ran over a year ago when we reported that a 4×4 platform for the next Ferrari 612 was a certainty, just six months after we reported Ferrari were working on four wheel drive hybrid propulsion system. But the Ferrari 4×4 setup is very different to the permanent all wheel drive system used by Lamborghini.
